FAQs
What makes SRP Meal Prep Delivery special?
I’m a professionally trained Health Supportive Chef, with a degree from The Institute of Culinary Education and NYC Food and Safety Certification. All of the ingredients I use are fresh and vibrant. They are almost always organic, seasonal, and locally procured. The meals I serve my clients are 100% scratch-made, including all dressings & sauces, on the day of delivery. They are of the highest quality and made with the same intention that I use to feed my own family. I use organic, first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil in all of my cooking (that calls for evoo, which is most). 100% of the ingredients I use are sourced from the following places: GrowNYC Greenmarket, Crossroads Farm, Acabonac Farms, Arties Fish Market, Whole Foods. High quality ingredients are expensive but I am committed to quality, taste, and supporting local above all else.
What if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?
I’m professionally trained in Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Pescatarian, Macrobiotic, Ayurvedic, and Plant-Based cooking. I honor all allergies and dietary restrictions within my power. Simply indicate what you would like to adjust on the checkout order form (where you include your menu selections) and if I can accommodate your request I will. If for any reason I’m unable to accommodate your request, I will email you to confirm a substitution meal. Common allergens included in a meal will always be listed on each individual package.
What does 3-4 portions mean?
While it is important that you honor your own appetite, each meal contains 4 portions based on standardized serving sizes. Because one persons appetite may be larger than another’s, a standard portion of food may not always be enough. This is why I like to say each meal contains 3-4 portions.
How long will my meals last and how will I know how to best reheat them?
All meals will last 5 days in the refrigerator. I advise you to eat meals containing fish first. Baked goods will often last longer than a week, especially when stored in the refrigerator. Reheating instructions are included on each individual package.
When and how is the food delivered?
Food delivery takes place locally to Long Island & Queens on Mondays & Tuesdays between 4pm & 8pm. Meals are packaged in either certified compostable or plastic food containers and then in insulated cooler bags. Certain items don’t last well in the compostable food containers, which is why I sometimes use plastic. You should keep these, as I’m not able to reuse them but you can! To help with sustainability efforts, either reuse your bag or return it. I will happily pick up bags from previous weeks- simply leave them where your deliveries are made. If you’re not home, your food delivery will be left by your front door. If you are unavailable during these time windows and want to be home for your delivery, please email samanthareneepaz@gmail.com to coordinate an alternate delivery window and I will do my best to accommodate.
